Presidency of INDER Visits Mayabeque

Mayabeque, Cuba: ?Although there are things to be done, Mayabeque’s progress is evident. We confirmed it on this tour to evaluate the restart of the school year and the inauguration of the 60th National Baseball Series?.

This was the opinion of the vice president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Ariel Sainz, during the conclusions of the visit of the sports organization to the territory, in which leaders of the Party and the Government of the province participated.

Sainz highlighted the potential of Mayabeque to host athletes committed to the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021, a strategy that seeks to resume studies and training for about eight weeks, until they can return to the national schools in the capital.

Other issues, such as recreation during the vacation period, were part of what was checked by the working group that was also headed by the vice president, Omar Venegas.

Both, along with other specialists, visited the Antonio Ñico Jiménez EIDE, the Aldo Caballero School of Physical Education Teachers (EPEF), the Nelson Fernández and Héroes del Mayabeque baseball parks and the Provincial Center for Sports Medicine.

In the summary of the visit to the territory, the Member of the Party Bureau, Fredy Díaz, and the Director General of Education, Culture and Sports in the Government, Noel Soca, highlighted the interest in doing more in solving the problems that affect sports development. Among the immediate decisions they cited a new headquarters for the EPEF.
