Havana: At midnight yesterday, November 23, 3,131 patients were admitted for clinical epidemiological surveillance, 659 suspects, 2,085 under surveillance and 387 confirmed, the MINSAP website reports.

For COVID-19, 9,071 samples were studied, resulting in 71 positive samples.

Of the total of cases, 40 were contacts of confirmed cases, 29 with a source of infection abroad and two without a specified source of infection.

Of the 71 diagnosed cases, 36 are women and 35 men. 62.0% (44) of the 71 positive cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 4,984, which represents 62.7% of those confirmed to date.

The cases belong to Pinar del Río 20 cases (3 imported), Havana 10 cases (7 imported), Matanzas 6 cases (3 imported), Cienfuegos 6 cases (2 imported), Villa Clara 10 cases, Sancti Spíritus 1 case, Ciego de Ávila 6 cases (5 imported), Camagüey 7 cases, (6 imported), Santiago de Cuba 4 cases, (1 imported), Isla de La Juventud (1 imported).

Of the 7,950 patients diagnosed with the disease, 387 confirmed cases remain admitted, 384 of them with stable clinical evolution. 133 deaths are reported (one of the day), two evacuated, 72 discharges of the day, three patients in intensive care (one critical and two seriously ill).

Until November 23, 186 countries with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases amount to 58 million 767 thousand 176 (+ 491 thousand 743) and 1 million 388 thousand 661 deaths (+ 6 thousand 512) for a fatality of 2 , 36 (-0.01).

In the region of the Americas, 25 million 152 thousand 427 confirmed cases (+ 213 thousand 203) are reported, 42.80% of the total cases reported in the world, with 704 thousand 204 deaths (+ thousand 904) for a fatality of 2 , 80% (-0.02).
