Cuba: The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, praised today the work of the Henry Reeve medical brigade in Qatar, upon its arrival on the Island after seven months of confrontation with Covid-19 in that Arab State, Prensa Latina reports.
During his welcome message, the president highlighted that the doctors treated more than 270 thousand patients and around 328 thousand nursing procedures.
The Qatari authorities recognized the work of the Cuban collaborators and for that reason 302 members of the brigade remain in that territory.
Díaz-Canel reiterated to the doctors that after completing the quarantine period they will have a face-to-face meeting to learn details about their experiences, as is the custom of the country’s leadership upon the return of internationalist collaborators.
