Venezuela: The vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, signed the contract for the acquisition of the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, which will immunize 10 million people against the coronavirus, Radio Reloj reports.
Rodríguez stressed that the South American country has actively contributed to the Russian vaccine research, since it participates in phase three of the clinical trials.
The Venezuelan vice president stressed that the Russian vaccine is very safe, and it constitutes a firm step, a step forward, in the fight against Covid-19, so her country is prepared to vaccinate the population as soon as possible.
The also Minister of the People’s Power for the Economy and Finance, pointed out that Caracas has already taken steps to achieve the unlocking of its resources by the United States, in order to have access to the United Nations vaccination fund.
