The Second Degree Physiology Specialist shares with experts from some thirty nations, the advances accumulated in the functional study of diabetic patients, thanks to the human resources and technology of that Department.
The success in the application of cell therapy to reduce the risks of amputation and other consequences of this disease is also included in the presentation of this specialist, who also aspires to a Doctorate in Polyneuropathy in the elderly.
In less than two years in the Department of Physiology of Mayabeque, more than ten thousand studies were carried out, at no cost, to about 2000 patients from this and other western territories of the country.
The experience of the province in Physiology undoubtedly highlights the prestige of the Cuban Society of Basic Sciences, which is the first time the host in a meeting that consolidates the unity among the physiologists of the continent.
