United Nations: Cuba will not cease its claim for the total elimination of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States (USA), said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla on the social network Twitter, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

For the twenty-eighth consecutive occasion, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) will rule on the longest commercial siege in history, an unjust and genocidal sanctions system that constitutes the main obstacle to the development of the Island, and which remains frank violation of the International Law and the will of the Assembly, which has condemned it 27 times.

Precisely because of the discredited nature of this policy, the United States resorts to pressures and blackmail in order to change the favorable vote of the nations to Cuba, something denounced on Monday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Greater Antilles, who put in evidence the maneuvers that are carried out by officials of the US Government, mainly on Latin American countries.

“After the marked failure of last year 2018, when the State Department tried to amend and change the nature of the resolution that is traditionally presented to the General Assembly, this year the objective is to depress the voting pattern based on pressures exerted on all regions of the planet”, Rodríguez Parrilla said.

But "Cuba knows that it has the unanimous support of the peoples", something that is evident in all the international scenarios in which the issue arises, as happened recently at the Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement Movement, whose statement was clear in the Claim for the cessation of the blockade.
