The sectors of transport, energy and mines, and the industry in Cuba suffer with special force the impact of the intensification of the economic blockade of the United States (USA), against the greater Island of the Antilles.
From April 2018 to March 2019, the total damages in the transport sector exceeded 170 million dollars, while in the case of energy and mines, the effects on their companies amounted to 78 million 336 thousand 424 dollars.
Cuban industrial productions, meanwhile, suffered losses of more than 49 million dollars due to the blockade in the period from April 2018 to March 2019.
Beyond the millionaire figures, which damage economic development, each Cuban has his own experience of Washington's hostile policy: the missing medicine, school supplies, the industry that stopped because of the equipment we cannot buy, the transportation, difficult because of the lack of spare parts.
Examples of the harmful blockade are abundant and these have multiplied in recent years, due to the aggressiveness of the Donald Trump administration.
The US blockade against the nation appears as the most unjust, severe and prolonged unilateral sanctions system applied against any country in the entire history of mankind.
The ruler of the White House and his allies wear out in his speech saying that the actions of his government are to free the Cuban people from suffering.
The blockade is an act of war and if it is not lifted, we Cubans will continue to build a country in the most difficult circumstances because, this town with unparalleled dignity, has long since defeated that absurd Washington policy.
