The economic, commercial and financial blockade is one of the most important issues of the United Nations because it contrasts with the sense of the organization. The blockade is illegal, unfair, immoral. The blockade violates the principles of the United Nations and the rights of the Cuban people, affirmed within the United Nations the representative of Bolivia, Sacha Llorenti, Cubadebate publishes.

“This session of the UN General Assembly is seen in all the homes of Cubans and this is a sign of solidarity of the world to Cubans. The blockade is real and affects trade, education, health, foreign investment, construction, transportation and industry, ”he added.

The Bolivian diplomat emphasized that this session is more than a show of solidarity with Cuba.

“When colonialism subjugated Africa, there was Cuba; when illiteracy was in our villages, there was Cuba, when Ebola affected Africa, there was Cuba, when natural disasters affect the world there are the Cuban brothers. ”

She thanked at the same time the “almost 30 thousand Cuban professionals who collaborate in different places around the world. They share what little they have, they never asked anyone for a mining, forestry concession for their collaboration. ”

“Today not only Cuba is spoken of, but of the entire multilateral system. There is deliberate attack against multilateralism, ”she added

Not only do we vote against the commercial blockade, we vote for hope, for a fairer world, she concluded.
