Havana_ Thousands of Tweeter users condemned since that and other social networks   the United States economic, financial and commercial blockade against Cuba for more than 50 years, Prensa Latina reports.

The global Tweet was organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) as part of the campaign 'Tenemos Memoria' (We Remember), which is fostered, as part of the solidarity against the United States' policy.

From her account in Twitter, the general director for the United States of the Cuban ministry of Foreign Affairs, Josefina Vidal, remembered that the blockade damages to the Cuban town.

The Argentinean journalist and activist of the solidarity with Cuba, Marta Speroni, who also joined the day, remembered that the blockade continues in spite of the President Barack Obama’s pronouncements on its inefficacy for achieving the northern nation’s objectives.

Many Cuban media and the diplomatic embassies of the Island around the world contributed to disclose the hostile presence of the North American policy and the damages caused to the Caribbean country.

Since its beginning to the present moment, the blockade is responsible for losses in the Cuban economy superior to the 125 thousand 873 million dollars, at average prices, several of them remembered.

Other users gave to know specific affectations in sensitive areas as the education and the health.

According to ICAP, through the tuitazo, more people in the world will know about the validity and the damages caused by that law system.

With that same objective, on the 17th of each month, the international movement of solidarity with Cuba carries out actions to demand the lifting of the blockade.
