Beijing_ The presidents of China, Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin congratulated the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on his 90th birthday, the digital site of Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

In letter sent to the Embassy of Cuba in China, Xi highlighted the leadership of Fidel as well as the affection, admiration and respect with which the Chinese people remembers him. The president recalled the efforts of the Commander in Chief to establish diplomatic relations with the Asian nation.

"There was a large gathering of a million people in the Plaza of the Revolution, Fidel gave a long speech and asked if people agreed to break diplomatic relations with Taiwan and establish them with China, those millions of people said yes" recalls Pang.

Meanwhile, Putin said in his message that in Russia, Fidel Castro is highly respected as an extraordinary political personality who has dedicated his life to the Cuban people.

The Russian president also predicted that the relations between Moscow and Havana "will continue developing fruitfully, favoring the improvement of the regional stability and security."
