Havana, Cuba_ The artistic gala May 1 took place yesterday as part of the activities for the Day of the World Proletariat, at Havana’s Lazaro Peña Theater with the presence of workers and family, Radio Reloj publishes.

The Politburo member Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, Secretary General of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba, (CTC in Spanish), gave special recognition to Dang Ngoc Tung, who heads a delegation of the General Confederation of Labour of Vietnam, for contributing to the strengthening of relations of solidarity and collaboration between the two labor organizations.

Those present enjoyed the performances of Digna Guerra and the Entre Voces choir, the soloists Beatriz Márquez, Yaima Saez and Vianne Silva, Wil Campa Group, tenors from El Gato Tuerto, the dance company Irene Rodriguez and the Cuban Television Ballet.
