Havana_ 70 families affected by the total collapses of their houses because of the tornado in Havana received new homes in a ceremony presided over this Friday by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Radio Reloj publishes.
The head of the Councils of State and Ministers along with the highest authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Government in the capital congratulated the construction forces that repaired the buildings and recognized progress in the recovery.
According to the Granma newspaper, the Cuban president toured two of the apartments and, always smiling, he agreed to leave a graphic record of the moment at the request of the students who previously lived in those buildings, their former university villa, and benefited from the new homes. He also heard the gratitude that the young Cristina Garbey transmitted to him with trembling voice, because tomorrow, thanks to the Revolution, her child will celebrate the first year of life under a safe roof.
Hours later, the Cuban leader would recognize what has been achieved so far in the recovery and the confidence shown by the people.
