Havana_ The analysis of the exploration of oil and gas is included in the first scientific day of the VIII Cuban Convention of Earth Sciences (Geociencias 2019) to start today in Havana, with representatives of some 10 countries, Prensa Latina publishes.

The agenda has reserved the exchange on the advances in the knowledge of the geology of the Island, as well as the analysis on the use of satellite technologies for geosciences and about the gaso-petroleum perspectives in the Cuban Aquarium.

According to the program, the VII Mining and Metallurgy Symposium will take place today, the IV Prospecting, Exploitation and Gold Processing Workshop; the VII Symposium on Geological Risks, Seismicity and the III International Meeting of University Students of Geosciences.

A transcendental moment of this day will be the opening of the Geoexpo 2019 Exhibition, where companies that promote equipment and accessories for geosciences, both Cuban and foreign, will exhibit their products and services.

Under the motto The Geosciences at the Service of Society and Development, the meeting brings together experts from the United States, Colombia, Argentina, France, Mexico, Germany, Spain, Angola, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia and the host country.

The organizers said that during and after the meeting they will visit geological objectives in the western, central and eastern areas of the largest island of the Antilles.
