Havana, Cuba: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Equatorial Guinea, Simeón Oyono Esono, and the Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, praised the cooperation ties between both countries and announced their extension to new sectors, Radio Reloj publishes.
The holders recognized during a meeting in Havana the results achieved so far in the bilateral exchange in sectors such as public health and education, and advanced the start of exchanges in agriculture and industry.
Esono, on a working visit to Havana, also thanked Cuba’s support to Malabo within the United Nations (UN), whose Security Council the African country is a non-permanent member.
The Equatorial Guinean holder conveyed his deepest gratitude to the government of Cuba and through him to his people for that help, which also covers higher education, primary and secondary education, and construction.
Havana and Malabo promote links
The vice president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas, received on Monday the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, His Excellency Mr. Simeón Oyono Esono Angué, who makes an official visit to our country.
Both parties exchanged on the state of bilateral relations and expressed the mutual will to promote political and cooperation ties in the areas of health and education fundamentally.
Cabrisas thanked Equatorial Guinea's support for the fight against the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States government maintains against Cuba.
Esono serves as chancellor since February 2018, is a member of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, worked for TWELVE years as a professor at the Faculty of Economics of the National University and as an ambassador in Ethiopia.
