Havana: Around 65 foreign union leaders will participate in the XXI Congress of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC), which will meet here between April 20 and 24, with 1,200 delegates.
In statements to Prensa Latina, the second secretary of the CTC, Carmen Rosa López, advanced the confirmation of unions such as the central general workers of France and Panama, as well as the guilds of builders of Belgium and the Central American isthmus, among others.
They will participate in the opening of the XXI Congress at Havana’s Convention Center, where the CTC general secretary, Ulises Guilarte will present the central report of the great workers' event, López said.
The foreign guests will attend a work session on April 23 dedicated to the analysis of the functioning of the organization and there they will have the possibility of greeting the national delegates and all the Cuban workers.
They will also participate in the closing of the Congress on April 24 at the Convention Palace, she said.
The union leader expressed that we have maintained over all these years ties of friendship and solidarity with the representatives all the organizations attending the Congress", she said.
The union leader also pointed out that many of these trade unionists will accompany Cubans at the Revolution Square on May 1, in greeting to the International Workers Day and will also hold meetings with several labor groups in the Cuban capital.
