Havana_ More than 60,000 public health workers and the Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries, BioCubaFarma, will open the May Day parade in the Cuban capital, Granma newspaper reports.

Some 160 collaborators from the Central Medical Cooperation Unit and 10 thousand nurses will head the compact block, followed by workers from provincial hospitals, centers and companies of national subordination.
The vanguard of the march will also be integrated by the workers of the Anti-Vector Control Campaign, soldiers of the Youth Labor Army, 15 thousand workers of BioCubaFarma; 2 thousand professionals who will carry the flag of the 68 countries where Cuba provides medical assistance; workers of the Primary Health Care and the University of Medical Sciences, together with students of this institution and the Latin American School of Medicine.
"For the Cuban health professionals to open the parade is a high recognition, and the workers in this sector are worthy of that merit, Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health, said.
