Santiago de Cuba: Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, was elected delegate to the National Conference of the Association of Combatants of the Revolution, by Santiago de Cuba, Radio Reloj publishes.

In the fifth provincial conference, held this Sunday, the more than 170 delegates from Santiago also elected as delegates the Heroes of the Republic of Cuba, the Army Corps General, Álvaro López Miera and the Division General, Antonio Enrique Lussón.

The new provincial leadership of the Association of Combatants was also elected, and the 26 delegates who will represent the territory in the National Conference were selected.

The activity was chaired by the highest authorities of the Party and Government in the province, and the president of the Association of Combatants, Major General José Carrillo Gómez.
