Cuba: The president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, evaluated this week the behavior of the Food Program in the country, a priority in the Cuban government's work agenda, Radio Reloj reports.

The control included the analysis on how to accompany from the industry and the development of different programs the purpose of increasing food production, with particular emphasis on the actions to recover the dairy industry and the progress made in the rice program.

Regarding the latter, Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero, Minister of Agriculture, explained that to date they have made investments mainly in agricultural machinery, implements, the drying and milling industries, and in transport.

Regarding the dairy industry, the need to increase packaging capacities, in quantity and assortments, and make better use of whey for the production of different foods was mentioned.
