Cuba: The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA), informed that as of January 8, Resolution 176 of 2019 of the Ministry of Communications will enter into force, Radio Reloj reports.

It establishes that as of that date, the service contract signed by the new clients will be linked to the home where it is installed, so they cannot request the transfer of them to another address.

The deputy director of the ETECSA fixed services management, Adalys Montier, said that this will allow more resources to be devoted to increasing lines and not to service transfers, today with a very high number.

ETECSA has had to allocate around 70 percent of the planned investment resources for the increase of new services to install more than 30 thousand transfers each year and leave more than 15 thousand of those movements pending, as technical capacities are not available.
