Havana_ UN Special Rapporteur, Maria Grazia Giammarinaro, concluded her official program in Cuba with a press conference where she will set forth her criteria on struggling against human trafficking, Prensa Latina reports.

Previously, the UN official on human trafficking, especially women and children, will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

Yesterday, Giammarinaro visited to the National Sex Education Center (CENESEX) and acknowledged its teaching, research and assistance results, according to CENESEX Deputy Director, Manuel Vazquez.

The exchange was a significant opportunity to report on CENESEX´s work on issues related to human rights, violence, and particularly human trafficking, as stated by Vazquez.

We reported on the progress for debate and dialogue, and what we want to do by implementing an action plan so as to prevent and fight human trafficking, as well as to protect the victims, in keeping with Cuban efforts in this aspect, Vazquez stressed.
