Havana, Cuba_ Seychelles President Danny Faure will speak today with the head of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo, at the seat of that legislative body, Prensa Latina published.

Likewise, the Seychelles leader will pay tribute to the Cuban National Hero José  Martí  at Havana’s José Martí Revolution Square . Faure participated yesterday in the inauguration of his country’s embassy in Havana, the first of that country in the Latin American and Caribbean region which opening took place at the end of 2016.

Cuba and Seychelles established diplomatic relations on April 12, 1978, and maintained close collaboration in medical care, especially in the control of diseases and pests, as well as in the sports, cultural, economic and social spheres.

According to official data, 16 young from Seychelles are currently studying in Cuba.

Seychelles is an East African state of 115 islands located in the Indian Ocean, northeast of Madagascar.
