Havana, Cuba__ Cuban youth will be the protagonist of a giant camp, on May 19, to honor the National Hero José Martí, on the 122nd anniversary of his fall in combat, Radio Habana Cuba published.

Yusuam Palacios Ortega, president of the Marti Youth Movement, confirmed that the Playita de Cajobabo, in Guantanamo; El Abra farm, on the Isle of Youthand Dos Rios, in Granma’s territory, where death surprised the Apostle, are some of the places chosen.

Among the locations he mentioned, that Martis’s forests like Ariguanabo, in San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, will serve as greater venues of a day dedicated entirely to the reunion with the memory of the Cuban nation.

The also director of the Fragua Martiana talked about excursions, historical routes, visits to museums and other initiatives and actions of Marti's youth clubs and the patriotic clubs Amigos de Martí.

Twenty young people from the provinces of Guantánamo, Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, Granma and Havana, will gathered in Dos Rios on the dawn of 19 after being walking the 394 kilometers of the final journey of the Hero from the landing, with Máximo Gómez, by Playita de Cajobabo.

Among many ways of honoring Marti, Palacios Ortega also referred to the base forums of the XLIII National Youth Seminar of Marti’s Studies and confirmed that on that day, at José Martí Military Technical Institute in the Cuban capital, the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) will hold their meeting as an institution.

The MJM will be well represented in the International Colloquium José Martí and the Caribbean, from May 17 to 19 in the Center of Marti’s Studies, he meant, not forgetting to mention the meeting-workshop Ganémosla a pensamiento, which will be held in Cienfuegos on 26 and 27 as an epilogue to the second juvenile essay contest of the same name.
