Havana, Cuba_ The situation and possibilities for the foreign investment in the Special Development Zone Mariel in Cuba will be exposed today at the First Convention of Commerce, Cuba 2017, attended by more than 500 national and foreign experts, Radio Habana Cuba reports.
The conference will be in charge of the general director of the enclave, Ana Teresa Igarza, as part of the exchanges of the event, which will conclude tomorrow after five days of sessions.
This convention was designed to address the challenges of the sector on a sustainable basis, including a presentation by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
Speaking to the press, Odalis Escandell, Deputy Interior Minister, confirmed that experts from a dozen nations, including Spain, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands and Panama, are taking part.
Exhibitions of products and services, expo-sales, catwalks, book presentations and sample assortments typical of Cuban cuisine and cocktails, is also part of the forum's proposals.
