Havana_ After a day of work in commissions, Cuban legislators gathered together at the second Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) to analyze the documents of the Conceptualization of the Cuban Economic and Social Model of Socialist Development and the Guidelines of the Party's Economic and Social Policy and the Revolution for the 2016-2021, Prensa Latina reports. 

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, presided over the beginning of the previous day aimed at concluding a huge process of collective construction of these governing documents.

Criteria of deputies were exposed to gauge the significance of this exercise of democracy, the importance of preserving our achievements and advancing in the economic field without giving in the construction of socialism.
