Havana, Cuba_ The 9th International Conference on Renewable Energy, Energy Saving and Energy Education concluded with intense scientific days in which two lectures and more than 20 papers were presented, Granma newspaper published.

Antonio Sarmiento, president of the scientific committee, commented that the novelties of the event consisted in the analysis of the business opportunities in Cuba, in that field, as well as the high scientific level of the works presented.

According to Sarmiento, the space created for negotiation was of special interest, since it facilitated the integration of the academic framework and its application to the business sector.

The meeting maintained its typical areas corresponding to renewable sources of energy, energy efficiency, savings, education and teaching.

The also professor of the Center for Studies of Renewable Energy Technologies, said that each event becomes more profound, applied, and interesting, which meets its development goals.

Some of the nations present were Ecuador, Qatar, Turkey, Nicaragua, Mexico, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Spain, Chile, France, Colombia and Argentina.
