Hanoi__ The president of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo, will make an official visit to Vietnam starting next Sunday, as part of the high-level contacts between both countries, Prensa Latina reports.
Invited by his counterpart Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the also member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC)Â will complete a program that will conclude on the 18th, according to the Vietnamese news agency VNA.
With diplomatic relations initiated on December 2, 1960, the two nations have the exchange of delegations among their frequent activities.
The visit of the Cuban parliamentary leader will take place days after the one held at Havana by the Vietnam Defense Minister, General Ngo Xuan Lich, who was received by President Raúl Castro Ruz and other authorities.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan headed his country's delegation to the funeral of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, last November.
Last February, the Vice President of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Tong Thi Pong visited Cuba too.
