Brasilia_ The Workers Party (PT) and the Lula Free Committee announced a massive call to march this April 7, in what will be the great mobilization in defense of former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a year after the political prison to which the former president of Brazil and social leader have been subjected, r Radio Habana Cubaeports.

According to a note published on the official website of the PT, the protest for the freedom and declaration of innocence of Lula da Silva will take place in the country and it is expected to join by at least 15 countries.

"Lula is the victim of a legal and media attack, the so-called lawfare, and the practice will also be denounced by the protesters”, the press release said.

The street demonstrations organized in honor of the worker’s leader will take place between April 7 and 10 of this year, and will be transmitted through the YouTube platform, in a format of informative flashes, to be disseminated in their entirety after they have been completed. .

"The demonstrations inside and outside Brazil are going to denounce the political nature of the prison of former President Lula," the PT highlights.

Lula da Silva has been accused of corruption crimes that have not been corroborated and for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, which he is currently serving in the penitentiary of Curitiba, in Paraná.
