Brasilia: The Ministry of Justice and Public Security of Brazil authorized the use of the National Force to contain the protests that will be carried out in the coming weeks, during the XV Campamento Tierra Libre, Cubasí publishes.
The measure indicates that the National Force may be used in the capital, Brasília, for 33 days from this April 17. In this way, the troops will be able to monitor the ministries, the National Congress and the Planalto Palace (seat of the Government).
The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Union and specifies that the National Force will be used "in the actions of preservation of the public order and of the integrity of the persons and the patrimony, in the defense of the goods of the Union, in the Esplanade of the Ministries in Brasilia".
The National Force is composed of military police and military firefighters and since its creation in 2004 reserved its actions for crisis of insecurity or strong disturbances.
