Colombo: The Islamic State terrorist group acknowledged on Tuesday the authorship of the bomb attacks last Sunday in Sri Lanka, which left a preliminary balance of 321 dead and five hundred wounded, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

According to the propaganda agency of the aforementioned terrorist group, Amaq, the attacks were carried out in revenge for the massacre of March 15 in the New Zealand mosques, however, the formation did not present any evidence in this regard.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Defense Ministry confirmed that among the victims of the aforementioned attacks are 38 foreign citizens and that a total of 40 suspects were arrested for investigation.

As a result of the attack, the government of that Asian country established emergency measures by virtue of the prevention of terrorism and declared a National Day of Mourning for the bombings in several churches and hotels last Sunday of Resurrection.
