Colombia: The Strike Committee in Colombia is promoting more protest actions today, after the massive national march of November 21 and the mobilizations that followed it, Prensa Latina reports.

In the last five days thousands of Colombians demonstrated in squares and streets of the country in rejection of the government, against violence and in demand for effective policies in areas such as education, health, employment and the environment.

The Unitary Central of Workers (CUT) informed that the Committee will meet on Tuesday at the Casa de Nariño (headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic) to promote new tasks.

In the meetings of the Committee have participated the alternative bench in the Congress of the Republic and the citizen movement Defendamos La Paz.

After the successful national strike on November 21, the government of Iván Duque has not specifically resolved any of the reasons for this mobilization and the National Police continues to use force against protesters and the general population.
