Moscow__ The suspected perpetrator of the attack on St. Petersburg on Monday is probably a Russian citizen, born in Kyrgyzstan, confirmed Rajat Sulaimanov, a spokesman for the country's State Security Committee, Radio Havana Cuba reports.
The spokesman added that the secret services of that city are in contact with the Russian security agents about what happened in St. Petersburg.
The alleged perpetrator of the attack is named Akbarzhon Dzhalilov and was born in 1995 in Kyrgyzstan.
Russian investigators added that the subway bomb could activate a suicide bomber whose remains were found in the third car of the affected train. The institution did not reveal the identity of the alleged kamikaze.
The explosion occurred in the train car from the Sennaya Ploschad station in the direction of TejnologuÃcheski Institut, in the center of the city.
