Beijing__ Chinese president Xi Ping and his US counterpart Donald John Trump held today a telephone conversation over the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Syria, Prensa Latina reports.
During the conversation, Xi urged a nuclear disarmament of the Korean peninsula through peaceful means, while rejecting the use of chemical weapons in Syria, which he branded as unacceptable.
In his opinion, the Security Council of the United Nations Organization (UNO) should remain united and speak with one voice on the latter issue.
On the other hand, Xi called on Beijing and Washington to work together in a coordinated way to ensure that Trump's visit to China, scheduled for the end of the year, can yield fruitful results.
