Rio de Janeiro_ The unpopular reforms carried out by the government of Michel Temer have paralyzed Brazil since the first hours of this Friday, in middle of a general strike called by the main trade union centers of the country, Radio Reloj publishes.
Public transport is one of the sectors with the highest adhesion to the strike, which is carried out to express discontent with labor reforms and pensions, both currently under discussion in Congress.
The Central Única de los Trabajadores stated that the big participation reflects the results of the assemblies previously held, in which 90 percent of the workers approved to join the force measure to reject the government's reforms.
The strike is also accompanied in the main cities of Brazil by an ostensive deployment of the military police, which has already suppressed some demonstrations in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
