Caracas__ Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has summoned a meeting with opposition leaders to show them the process of the National Constitutional Assembly he called to preserve the country’s peace, Prensa Latina reports.
This was assured by the Minister of Education, Elías Jaua, who was appointed the president of the Presidential Commission to discuss, propose, and listen in each stratum of society the basis of the system of election of constituents.
'This Tuesday I will offer more details on the call of President Maduro, in an interview that I will grant to Venezolana de Televisión,' the minister announced on his Twitter account.
Yesterday, the president made a call to begin the process of the forming a Constitutional Assembly, to reform the state, improve the legal order and ensure the peace of the nation.
The head of state stressed that the process also aims at giving all power to the people and transforming the state with the creation of a new Magna Charta, which responds to the community and the workers.
