Buenos Aires__ The Mothers of Plaza de Mayo will give tomorrow the historic white scarf, symbol of the struggle for their children who disappeared during the last Argentine civic-military dictatorship (1976-1983), to the former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff Prensa Latina published.
The ceremony will coincide with the presentation ceremony of the Rodolfo Walsh award, which will be confered to Dilma by the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the University of La Plata, capital of the province of Buenos Aires, for her example, her militant commitment and coherence nn principles and action.
"We are very happy to deliver the handkerchief to Dilma, especially at this time, a handkerchief embroidered by one of our mothers, letter by letter, which represents the embrace of our children," the president of the Association, Hebe Of Bonafini said.
The outstanding human rights referent said that many deserve this distinction and the ex-governor is one of them because after enduring prison, torture and almost death, became president and is a great woman.
Last December, on her most recent visit to Buenos Aires, Rousseff was also honored with several prizes, including the Honoris Causa Doctorate degree from the José C. Paz University.
