Caracas_ President Nicolas Maduro has announced that a referendum to approve the new constitutional text that generates the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) will be included in the election rules of this process, Rado Habana Cuba reports.
During an event held yesterday in Miranda state and broadcast on the state-owned Venezolana de Televisión, Maduro stated that the proposal for a referendum will be published in the Official Gazette, which shows its participatory and democratic nature.
According to the Venezuelan head of state the present Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic, drafted in 1999, is the fundamental basis for the new constitutional text that will emerge from this process.
He also recalled that among the ANC tasks is to transform the State, with special emphasis on the eradication of some vices inherited from the Fourth Republic.
The Venezuelan president called for the eradication of bureaucracy rules and urged the population to denounce de corrupt officials who operate on behalf of the government.
