Mayabeque, Cuba__ The seventh edition of the international oral narrative event Contada Lajera Mayabeque 2017, takes place this Friday, May 5, in San Jose de las Lajas, Radio Camoa publishes.
Julio Pedro Coto, president of the Organizing Committee of the event, explained that about 50 storytellers and scenic artists from Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and a large representation of Cuba are to participate in the event.
The inaugural gala will take place at Camilo Cienfuegos park in the capital of Mayabeque, an opportunity to recognize outstanding personalities in this manifestation both nationally and internationally and the coronation of the narrators Jochy, director of Estros de Montecallado, Bejucal, and Aeneid Villalón, director of the group Las Olas, in the municipality of Batabanó.
The Boomerang tale "A place in the forest", traditional activity of the event, will be in charge in this edition of the narrators of the theater group La familia.
That story will close the program around a campfire, where the participants ask for a wish and the next edition is summoned.
