Mayabeque, Cuba: Mayabeque’s athlete, Anailis Dorvigni, appears in the list of Cuban judokas, who will compete from next April 25 to 28, in the Pan-American Sports Championships in Lima, Peru.
In the women's selection, under the direction of Yordanis Arencibia, are the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games champion, Dayaris Mestre, as well as Vanesa Godinez, Nahomys Acosta, Yusmari Reyes, MaylÃn Del Toro, Nairelis Fuentes, Kaliema Antomarchi and Idalis Ortiz.
The men's team, led by Julio Alderete, will feature new figures, such as the Havana native Orlando Polanco, Yasel Baeza and Liester Cardona.
They will be joined by the experienced Roberto Almenares, Magdiel Estrada, Jorge Martinez, Iván Silva, José Armenteros and Andy Granda.
The Continental Judo Championship is included in the events that award points for the tournament of this sport in the Pan American Games, to be held in the Peruvian capital between July and August.
