Mayabeque, Cuba__ Batabano’s athlete Ailama Cesé stood out in the game against Peru, corresponding to the Pan-American Volleyball Cup, female branch, sub 20 category taking place in Costa Rica.

The team won a three-set win to one to finish undefeated the Group C qualifier, with special performance of its captain Diaris Pérez and the player of Mayabeque, Ailama Cesé, who led both in the attack, the serve and the blockade.

They were also helped by Heidy Casanova and Laura Suárez, with good assistances of the libero Lianny Tamayo and good passes of Gretell Moreno.

With 17 points scored by Ailama Cesé and captain Diaris Pérez, they saved the crucial moments where mistakes were made, but they imposed over the South Americans at Costa Rica's National Gymnasium.

Mayabeque’s team is under the direction of Wilfredo Robinson.

The Pan American Cup will conclude next Saturday and Cuba waits for the results of the other groups to meet their rival in the next phase.

For the A compete the United States, Argentina and Dominican Republic and for the B Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Costa Rica.
