Mayabeque, Cuba_ To produce and market furniture of all kinds, as well as other lines derived from wood, is a priority for the Sign Furniture Company, of Batabanó.

The entity celebrates this month the 58th anniversary of founded by Commander Ernesto Che Guevara, it has 6 workshops located in the municipalities of Melena del Sur, Bejucal and Batabanó.

The manufacture of school furniture, domestic, for offices and tourism is part of their variety of products.

Among the main clients are the ministries of education, public health and internal trade, as well as currency collection stores.

The Company was created as the first pencil factory in Cuba and one of the hundred facilities that started the country's industrialization plan.

A historical photo of the moment when the ribbon was cut with a mocha is preserved. The pencils of the entity wore the mark of Mitico, as it was called José Angel Fernández, name that was assigned to the center by the Heroic Guerrilla, who was at the time the Minister of Industry.

Years later it became the School Furniture Company and in 2014 the Base Business Unit (UEB) Furniture and Various Items Sign.

The quality of its products makes it one of the leaders of the Cuban furniture industry.
