Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Provincial Transport Company increases the number of passengers they move. In the last hours the public bus terminal of San José de las Lajas reached the figure of 16 thousand 200 people in one day, a figure that exceeds what is expected for each day.

The director of the entity, Alexis Padilla Padilla, states that this responds to the maintenance of the vehicle park to achieve a good technical status of the buses and other means used to transport travelers to and from the provincial capital.

Some 46 Diana buses increased the vehicle fleet, which strengthens the activity and raises the service quality indexes. Currently they cover a total of 107 routes, of which 76 are inter-urban and 31 are rural, for an approximate of 643 daily trips, and an average of 40,000 passengers transported per day.

The Provincial Transport Company has more than 180 teams of different brands, years of manufacture and high level of use.

The contribution of the innovators and rationalizers is significant in the re  motorization of the cars, some of them with 15 and more years of exploitation.

The entity has 5 main workshops located in Güines, Catalina de Güines, Jaruco, Bejucal and Nueva Paz. The fundamental actions are to provide services of, repair and reconstruction of the means of transport, its parts and accessories, body shop work and painting, to both state and private vehicles.

Alexis Padilla added that the people appreciate the services of this entity, committed to be better in the fulfillment of its social purpose.
