Mayabeque, Cuba_ The national meeting For the Slave’s Route, an event dedicated to the search and approach to Afro-Cuban culture, in Cuba, will be held in the municipality of Melena del Sur.

The welcome will be in the Casona Sur Art Gallery, in the city, where those present will be able to appreciate the exhibition of the visual art performer Ricardo Mederos.

Next, they will make a tour of the municipal park, national heritage, where the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro declared Melena del Sur as the first territory free of illiteracy on the Island, Latin America and the Caribbean.

There is also expected the presentation of the amateur dance group Obanguala and continue the day with a visit to the museum.

The delegation and its guests will arrive at the Obbatala Stone, a place of adoration for many believers in the region.

Then, in the House of Culture they will present a set of books on religious studies and African tradition in the peninsula.
