Mayabeque, Cuba_ Young of Mayabeque carried out a voluntary work day in the Basic Unit of Cooperative Production (UBPC) Simón Rodríguez, of the municipality of Melena del Sur, as part of the celebrations of April 4th.
The actions began with the awakening of the dawn, where militants of the Young Communists League (UJC) were present, as well as top leaders of the region, who joined forces in the collection of the potato.
"It was a voluntary work, which is also done at the country level. We distribute the work teams in two fundamental areas, Madruga and this territory”, the First Secretary of the UJC in Mayabeque, Hamlet Valdés León, commented.
The meeting ended with a brief act where they handed out the youth card to 10 new militants. It was a symbolic moment in a special place, because this UBPC was the first cooperative founded in Cuba by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
