Mayabeque, Cuba_ The potato campaign runs favorably in the municipality of Nueva Paz, with 50 percent of the areas harvested and a yield of 23 tons per hectare.

The transportation of the tuber from the fields to the collection points and conservation centers located inside and outside the province of Mayabeque, as well as the work force that guarantees the collection of the queen of the food, behaves according to plan.

According to the director of the Agricultural Company of Nueva Paz, Jesús Gómez, the conditions are created to fulfill the commitments in this stage.

"It will be a campaign with positive results, thanks to the efforts of all the people involved," Gómez said.
