Mayabeque, Cuba_The municipality of Güines hosted the headquarters of the Provincial Festival of Rueda de Casino. Adolescents and young people adorned with their choreographies the Central Park of this demarcation motivated by the 58th anniversary of the Organization of Pioneers José Martí (OPJM) and 57 of the Young Communists League (UJC).

The member of the Educational Bureau of the Young Communists League in the province, Lien Herrera Gil, told Radio Mayabeque digital that this initiative is being held to greet on April 4. “To make these activity, we made a selection at the municipal level, there we could perceive the enthusiasm that exists among young people for this genre of popular dance music, which is one of the objectives of this activity ", she said.

Seven municipalities of Mayabeque participated in this Festival of Ruedas de Casino. Three places were awarded in the Pioneers and Students of the Secondary Education categories.

In the section Pioneers: San José de las Lajas, Santa Cruz del Norte and Madruga, were awarded with the third, second and first place respectively .

While in the Students of the Secondary Education category, the third place was for the territory of Melena del Sur; the second place was occupied by Batabanó and the city of Las Charangas, Bejucal, conquered the first place.

For Herrera Gil, the main objective of the event was fulfilled: to promote popular dance music among teenagers and young people. Later the leader valued the results of this cultural activity: "Very good participation and discipline by the pioneers and students of the FEEM".
