Mayabeque, Cuba_ Workers of Radio Mayabeque visited entities of economic, political and social importance of Madruga, on the occasion of the 49th Anniversary of the station.
Executives of the municipality showed the substantial changes of the territory, because it is evident the remodeling and the advances in terms of structure and comfort of the entities of the municipality.
Among the places visited highlighted the Base Business Unit (UEB in Spanish) Jose Garcerón belonging to to the Genetic Cattle Company of the East, where their workers made a commitment, with the XXI Congress of the Cuban Worker’s Federation (CTC), to fulfill with the delivery of 1 million liters of milk.
They also toured the UEB Boris Luis Santa Coloma, which exceeds the 80 percent of the sugar production planned for this campaing.
Another institution included in the tour was the José Urfé House of Culture, currently undergoing remodeling, but soon it will become a warm place for all local talent in the different artistic manifestations.
The workers also toured educational centers such as the Children’s Day Care Alegres Madrugueritos and the Primary School “Heroes de Playa Girón”, where joyful, enthusiastic and very professional groups, take care carefully of each child.
A better economic-productive management was verified, at the end of the first quarter of this calendar, in the Agricultural Company Rubén Martínez Villena.
Among its results it exceeds the national average in yield, when harvesting between 70 and 80 tons of potatoes daily. More than 50 hectares of land are planted with the queen of the viands, and another thousand 860 are cultivated with pineapple, mangoes, guavas, coconuts, oranges, lemons and other products.
This center of fruit trees, citrus and various crops has in its premises a mini-industry to process fruits and elaborate canned puree, and sweets in syrup and pickles.
The Fruit Farm La Esperanza belonging to the Nelson Fernández Credit and Services Cooperative stood out, where the excellence honors the hard work in the countryside, the simplicity of those who work the land and the sweat of those who give their best efforts every day to contribute to the food of the people.
