Mayabeque, Cuba: The Provincial Baseball Commission announced the roster of the category team 11-12 years, which will participate in the upcoming Western Zonal Championship of the discipline.

The selection is made up of the athletes Luis Daniel Valdés Larrinaga, Yaidiel Ruíz Díaz, Alexander Fraga Martínez and Segián Pérez Pedroso from Güines.

Quivicán is represented by Alejandro Betancourt Hernández, Yulian Hernández Rivero and César Gutiérrez Fernández.

Nueva Paz has three athletes included: José Franco Betancourt, Marcos Arencibia Hernández and Alejandro Hernández Gutiérrez. They team also include Batabano’s Osviel Fernández Acosta and Erick Matos Calzadilla.

Alberto Noriega Pelier from Melena del Sur, Daniel Durvigni Mesa from Madruga, Rudisney Pérez Beque from Santa Cruz del Norte and Marcelo Ruíz Caballero from San José de la Lajas were also summoned.

Jacinto Capote will act as manager, assisted by Rafael Ramírez and Moisés Soto.

The event will be held in the province of Artemisa between the 15th and the 21st of this month, and the first three places will qualify for the national final.

Last year Mayabeque won a meritorious bronze medal in this category.
