Mayabeque, Cuba: The Agricultural Company Rubén Martínez Villena, in Madruga has increased the productive results during the first months of this year.

Around 55 hectares of land are planted with corn, to replace the import of this food in the foreign market.

"It is very important to comply with the planting plans. Now we have the task of delivering 600 tons of corn, to substitute imports”, the director of the entity, Miguel Acosta Martinez, said.

"In addition, we are working in the cultivation of coffee on the plain, the company already has 15 hectares interspersed among the fruit trees”, Acosta Martinez added.

"We support everything necessary to improve the productive and economic performance of the entity," the specialist in various crops, the engineer Lázaro Julio Muñoz, said.
