Mayabeque, Cuba: The farmers of Melena del Sur have just fulfilled the harvest plan of the potato planted with national seed. The yields were 18 tons per hectare, a figure that is rated as very good and that will increase when the harvest of this variety sawn using imported seed ends, according to the director of production of the Agricultural Company, Alberto Jesus Gallo Socorro.
The forecast is to achieve 22.5 tons per caballeria and thus contribute to the schedule plan in general.
The labor of the workers of the Company and the productive forms used, place Melena del Sur among the best in the country in the potato harvest.
