Mayabeque, Cuba: Achieving an increasingly public, interactive and profound journalism became unanimous criteria in the Balance Assembly of the base delegation of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (Upec) in Radio Mayabeque, station that arrived at its 49th anniversary this April 19.

Giving priority to the public agenda, addressing issues of wide impact and the reach for citizens must set the course of the press without neglecting the media and the political interests.

At another time, José Antonio Manso Hernández, head of the press agency, called for an efficient use of the opportunities offered in the area of ​​training and gave as an example the instability in the assistance to the reorientation course taught in the province, possibility that must be defended.

Nancy Montes de Oca, Delegate of the ICRT in the province said that the Upec delegation of Radio Mayabeque can contribute a lot in terms of training and take advantage of the existence of the Scientific Society of Journalism at the Juan Borrell Urban Preuniversity Institute (IPU), to get students closer to the Media and teach them the importance and necessity of journalism.

The Provincial President of the Upec, Andy Duardo Martín, called for more equitable work in the executive branch of the delegation, to continue maintaining the press writing as a school taking into account the incorporation of young graduates from related careers but who they need technical and artistic preparation.

The structure of the Upec in Radio Mayabeque has 34 members, the largest in the province and maintains a stable and systematic work, according to Duardo Martín.
